Hi Bert,SIS 5 wrote: ↑01 Sep 2023 23:30Hi Max,
You are welcome!
Yes, the "Reichspropagandaleitung" was responsible for all media produced for the Reich and Goebbels was the head of this organization and had the total control. Here the subordinate offices and departments of Goebbels as Reichspropagandaleiter (Reich Propaganda Director):
Amt für Aktive Propaganda (office for active propaganda)
Amt für Rundfunk (office for broadcasting)
Amt für Film (office for film)
Amt für Kultur (office for culture)
Verbindungsstab (communication staff)
To Your question: in the German Reich there were 40 districts and 813 counties. This organization (Hauptstelle Rundfunk - head office for broadcasting) was part of a county management. Unfortunately somebody crossed out the name of this county.
Thank You very much for posting these two great pics. I have had only this one in my collection (source: Bundesarchiv) with the subtitle "Oberrheinfront" (upper Rhine front).
Best regards
Bert
Thanks very much for the background information these organizations. I appreciate your research effort.
Here are two additional photos of vehicles of the Gaufilmstelle which I presume comes under the auspices of the Amt für Film :

Hi Max,
thanks for Your reply and the interesting pics You posted.
Sorry, I forgot to write, that the German word for district was "Gau", the word for county "Kreis".
Here another pic of such a vehicle of a "Gaufilmstelle", here Köln (Cologne) - Aachen.
Best regards
Bert

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Max,
unfortunately I cannot decipher all words.
Here the words I could decipher:
"Kölner Rennbahn" - " Racing track Cologne"
"heute Abend" - "this evening"
"Eintritt frei" - "admission free".
I think it´s about a horse race in Weidenpesch, a district of Cologne.
Here a pic of a horse race from 1935 and an aerial view of this horse racing track from today.
Best regards
Bert

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hello all.
I found these images on the website film-autos.com
It's obviously a Mercedes but I'm unable to determine the model; I think that it's a 290 or possibly a 260. Can anyone help, please? The windscreen is of a design I've never before seen on a Kübelwagen.
The website is in German; I believe that the vehicle dates from 1936.
Regards to all, Rob.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Rob,
I think it is a 290/II. Note how the headlamp bars bend down at the ends. On the 260 they are straight. The 260 also had a flat radiator, this one appears to be the classic Mercedes V shape like the 290/II.
If it actually is a 1936 that would also fit. The 260 was produced through 1935, the 290/II from 36-37.
The windscreen is apparently a later replacement.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Max,
Thank you for answering my query.
The v-shaped radiator and the headlamp bar of the 290/II were both unknown to me so I've picked up a couple of very useful bits of information. As for the windscreen being a later addition - the thought never entered my head! D'oh!
Again, my thanks.
Regards, Rob.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi,
here a pic of an Italien light truck, used by a sailor of the Kriegsmarine, from the little town Bordighera in Liguria. Or is this vehicle of French origin?
Is it possible for You to ID this vehicle?
Thanks for any help in advance.
Regards
Bert
