Re: Vehicle identity requests
This vehicle is Panzer-Selbstfahrlaffete II 7,5 CM Kannone L/41 auf Zugkraftwagen 5t. It was used in Africa. It is well described in Panzer Tracts "Rommel's Funnies".

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Max,
As you were alredy answered, the bus is Henschel. It is "special edition" built upon Deutche Reichspost specs, the type is 4D5 (a.k.a. "Reichspost typ") with 50 seats. This one is an "observation vehicle" from the second order with "soft roof" (Aussichtswagen mit Cabrio-Verdeck), the first order buses are with closed body.
HTH
Cheers!

Hi Armin,
Those are fantastic. Thanks very much for posting.
I just noticed that Spielberger has a good discussion on this vehicle and about a dozen photos of the prototypes in his "Halftracked Vehicles" book.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Max,
According to the website 'nevingtonwarmuseum.com', one of these vehicles was converted to a 'Feuerleitpanzerfahrzeug fur V2 Racketen' or 'Fire control armoured vehicle ' and used at the Peenemunde rocket test site.
I can find no source of information on this particular vehicle other than that mentioned above.
Rob.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Thanks to all for posting the excellent photos and additional information. From what I understand B-N produced four HKp 902 prototype chassis. Two were armed with the 7.5 cm kannone and sent to Africa, one was to be a platform for the 5 cm Flak41 but apparently never completed, and the fourth was the V-2 Fire Control vehicle.
Cheers,
Max
