Agree at first sight on a Bussing NAG 900 early type, but why is there the logo of KDH on the radiator of these vehicles :? :? ??
And what about the lockers under the cargobed I have no pictures with this type of lockers and size.
Or are these trucks special builds for the Luftwaffe

Hi Bert,
The uniforms are NSKK. The NCO in the cap is attached to the Luftwaffe,as the wreath on his cap shows, but still NSKK. It is pity the number plates are obscured, perhaps they are Luftwaffe.
Cheers,
Kerry.

Anyone know of a special production order of early 900's with Klöckner-Deutz engines? That would be interesting since they were later associated with Magirus.

Hi Bert, hi Kerry, hi Max,

here is what I could find about the engines:
the normal engine of the type 900 was the type GD 6 with 12.517 ccm and 135/145 hp Diesel engine (used also for the models 502 (6,5to), 650, 654, FS 650, FS 654, 801, 802).
But by special demand You could get a petrol engine instead of a diesel engine: for example the Büssing-NAG model 400 a petrol engine with 135/148 hp.

The possible petrol engines for the Büssing-NAG model 900 on the pic could be the type F 6 M 517 B with six cylinders and 150 hp or the type F 8 517 B with eight cylinders and 170 hp.

Interesting that the Faun model L 900 ordered by the Wehrmacht was fit with the Deutz petrol engine type F 6 M 517 B.

Source of this information: "Das Lastwagen-Album Büssing" by Bernd Regenberg and "Faun Lastwagen 1916 - 1988" by Wolfgang Gebhardt.

Best regards

Bert
