Re: Vehicle identity requests
Your scheunentor pulling halftrack is a 8 ton sdkfz 7 with an armored supperstructure (probably a small series as they are rarely seen)

Bill Murray wrote:More than likely one of these. British ERF... ERF was started by a member of the Foden family who apparently had a dispute with the family.
Started his own company using his first two initials and the F for Foden.
May I also say here, thanks for the Crete photos. Many interesting vehicles to be found there and a fascinating mix of old, new, beute and even a civilian beute or two.. Good hunting.
Bill
Hi Bill, definitely ERF with the pre-war cab. Edwin Richard Foden - I think he left because Foden were still stuck on steam lorries at the time and he wanted to build diesels. (you probably know this already, but others may not?). Ironically, the brand was finally killed off in 2007 under MAN ownership as Cummins would not supply an engine which would fit the chassis, removing the difference between the MAN and ERF brands and killing ERF sales.
Agreed, those Crete photos are great, very interesting.
Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi all,
Could someone identify the truck on the left in this picture?

Hi Sturm:
Your truck seems to be Renault of the AD series but I am not sure of the exact model just yet.

[quote="SIS 5"]Hi Sturm 78, hi Bill,
like You, Sturm, I think it´s a Hanomag K 50 tractor. I´ll post a pic of such a tractor, not the best, I know, out of the book "Kettenschlepper der Wehrmacht" by Fred Koch.
Thank You very much, Bill, for posting the pic with the little Borgward/Hansa-trucks. You know I´m very interested in the trucks of these two firms. I´ll try to ID these trucks. The first one could be a Hansa-Lloyd Express, the second one a Borgward B 1000, both with a payload of 1 ton.
I wish You all a very good year 2010, all the best, health and welfare.
Regards
Bert
Hi Bert
I am back from my , sorry our , winter hollidays in Denmark
I bougt there a new danish book , a late present for me. with very interessting images.
I think both little trucks were HL "Express" look intensiv between the front mudguards and the sides.
Between both types only 2-3 differences.
best regards
Henning

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hello everybody, I´m new to this forum. My name is Alex.
I´ve got around 25 pics from WW2 showing different Wehrmacht vehicles which I can´t identify.
Maybe some of you could help me with these photos.
I don´t want to post all of these pics at once and flood this forum but will post the pics step by step.
Thanks!
Here are a couple of those pics:

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Henning,
thank You very much for posting these pics of the Hansa-Lloyd- and Borgward trucks. Now I know that You are right and I was wrong. Sorry, I payed attention only to the winkers. It´s a pity that the grille is covered.
In the meantime I´ve found another good pic of our Borgward Wehrmacht - 1,5-tonner - truck. I´ll post it soon.
Regards
Bert

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Two for today.
I think the truck is a Krupp with Junkers motor but I have no idea about the other one other than it is painted in a cammo design.
