Given the possibility of the last truck being Tatra, perhaps another Czech, the Praga LN, is a candidate for the front vehicle? The miserable soldier does have the look of a Czech army member.

Hi Jose,

the bus on the pic You posted could be a Citroen type 32 S. Here a pic of a similar model.

Best regards

Bert

Hi Jose an dKerry,
And thanks for your help. Indeed, the last truck is Tatra 85/91, I've found in my PC another picture of the same "Ella Mills" truck Jose posted, almost from the same point of view as on that picture:

Image

I'll dig in the Czech vehicles trying to find what the first trucks is. BTW, sorry for the mistake I made in a hurry today. Citroen C4 is too modern, the 30s model is P4, of course.
Cheers!

Hi Max,

an interesting pic. The vehicle belonged to a so-called Gaufilmstelle of the NSDAP. In 1936 the Gaufilmstellen in Germany had 300 of these "Tonfilmwagen" as mobile cinemas for the propaganda.
Here a pic of such a vehicle with the emblem of the "NSDAP Gaufilmstelle".

Best regards

Bert

Hi Bert,
Thanks very much for the ID and photos. I thought it may have been similar to the photo I have below but I couldn't decipher the name of this organization or know its purpose. Very interesting indeed.

Hi Markus,
I believe you are right. Yet another propaganda organization! Did the Gaustelle operate under the auspices of the Hauptstelle or what?
Cheers,
Max

Hi all,
The question isn't about the truck, no problems with it - this is GAZ-AA wood burner. My question is about the number plate but I can't find suitable thread:

Image

Image

It looks to me very German. The letters I see there are "RB". No such letters combination in all German number plates databases I've checked.
The picture caption says "captured by Belorussian partisans". So, is it possible these letters are for "Reichsgebiet Belarus" or a sort of? Pure shot in the dark.
TIA.
Cheers!

Could it be a dented RO plate for "Reichskommissariat Ostland" which administratively included "Generalbezirk Weißruthenien"?

Markus
