And, keeping it running would have been relatively easy given Opel is a GM subsidiary so parts are likely available for it.Hoss65 wrote: ↑30 Mar 2020, 12:23It appears to be a GMC ACK353. The 21st Pz Div was equipped with a lot of ex-French vehicles in 1944 (like the armoured Unic P107 half-track that the saluting soldier is standing in front of) so it is very possible that the truck is one of those supplied to France by the USA on a 1940 contract, many of which were taken over by the Germans after France's defeat.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi, what kind of vehicle is in the background? The general is Nikolaus von Falkenhorst.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Looks to me like Buick series 90/cabrio. Another fellow is Finnish general Hjalmar Siilasvuo. The shot seems to be still from Jatkosodan katsaus 1/41 (Finnish newsreel). Needles to say this (WH822771) is NOT orginal Falkenhorst's car - he used to take Mercedes Benz 770 usually.
Cheers,
Pawel
