Re: Vehicle identity requests
Thanks great pictures and info.
Re: Vehicle identity requests
Thanks Bert!
Two of them only, nothing to wonder I've never heard about this type till now. I guess they are the worst example of the German truck industry serial mass production.
Anyway, thanks again for clearing these hen's teeth.
Cheers!

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi uncle,
Thanks very much. It certainly looks similar but the engine compartment appears to extend quite a bit farther forward in front of the wheels. But perhaps that's just due to the viewing angle.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Max,
You are right, it is not the type S 6 GN 125, but the "small brother" of it, the type S 4 G 110. Here a pic of this tractor out of the book "Kaelble Lastkraftwagen und Zugmaschinen" by Joachim Wahl and Alexander Luig.
Best regards
Bert

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Any ideas about this one?
Thank you!
Thank you!
Re: Vehicle identity requests
Looks like charabanc or police vehicle. For me it isn't recognizable from this angle.
Cheers!

Re: Vehicle identity requests
I was also thinking a small Polizei Mannschaftwagen similar to this Stoewer Sedina but it looks like it has WH plates.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hello Bert,
Thanks very much. That's it all right. It's actually the same photo used in the pre-Photoshop era illustration I posted. They did a nice job masking out the background while keeping such details as the bogie and hanging chain. It just goes to show that some of us old codgers knew our way around a photo studio long before the digital age.
Cheers,
Max

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Good day dear colleagues. I have long been studying military equipment during the Second World War. I hope I addressed that forum, and you will help me?
Here is the first question: what kind of truck? Reminds MAN. Who has any thoughts? Sorry for my English.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Christian,
the vehicle on the pic You posted could be a half-track tractor, maybe a Sd.Kfz. 6 engineer version, because the convertible top is going until the end of the vehicle. Besides You can see two boards of the rows of seats with rifle holders. Here two pics of such a vehicle (source of the pics: Waffen-Arsenal Band 134 "Die mittleren Zugkraftwagen der Wehrmacht 1934 - 1945" by Reinhard Frank. For me the two soldiers on Your pic are trying to tow a truck which got stuck in the mud.
Best regards
Bert

Re: Vehicle identity requests
I look at my truck, and will remain unidentified.
Mr. SIS 5, in the post # 11384 you identified Kaelble S6G125. And then what is this Kaelble model? It is also signed the same year of release. Below I attach a photo.
