Marvelous picture
Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hello Max and Bert.
Max, regarding your questions: I saw this photo of a wooden van somewhere on the Internet, and there, judging by the wheels and the cabin, they confirmed that it was a model FN 4RM/63C (4x4); and in the photo in post # 11439 the FN 63C (4x2) model with the new 1940 body, I have no more information about it. And in general, the Belgian military equipment of that period is a black hole in history. Very little information about this. Maybe dirk Peeters will soon shed light on this topic. It would be great.
Bert. Thank you very much for this interesting photo.

It would be great if you closed a black hole in the history of military vehicles Belgium in the 1930s. I will be very hopeful to expect news from you.

A crop from a larger photo, the shadow of camouflage nets makes a distracting pattern, but here is another (to me) unknown FN model,
Kerry.
Kerry.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Had some fun adding in drivers on this one. Im presuming this is a Kfz. 15, but can anyone identify the manufacturer, of this kubelwagen. I thought if a wanderer type but i didnt seem to find a match. Also as a long shot perhaps the vehicle behind. As always thanks for any help and your expertise in cars.
Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi fliegerhorst,
I would say it is an Adler type 3 Gd.
Best regards
Bert

Re: Vehicle identity requests
I notice a curved fender leading to the engine area on one model. Any idea of late verses early production of when this change occurs?

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Or maybe after more study. Its just not seen from the side angle well
Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Kerry.
That this FN 63C (4x2) is not in doubt. But the cabin is most likely made by some Belgian body shop, or Jonckheere, or RAGHENO, or some other. They produced bodies for both Brossel and other Belgian automakers.

Hi,
here a pic of a special Opel Maultier. Does anybody know more about this vehicle? On the door You can read: Versuchswagen (test vehicle)
SS-Kraftfahrtechnische Versuchsabteilung (SS automotive experimantal department).

HI Bert
Never seen this before. Possibly a wrecker or crane of some type as the bins suggest some type of maintenance or recovery vehicle.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi guys,
Yes that definitely looks like a crane with a cover over it. Very interesting find, Bert.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi guys,
I recall there was a discussion in a FB group and all there agreed the picture is fake. Indeed, look at the jerrycan base and from where the shadow of the missing rear view mirror starts, for example.
