Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hello Sturm,
I believe that is a Humber Light Reconnaissance Car, possibly a Mk.11, but does not have a Boys anti-tank rifle in the front and the Bren has been removed from the turret.
Cheers,
Kerry..

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Sturm and Kerry,
I will slightly correct the answer: in the photo there is a model Mk III, 4x4. So, as Mk II had an incomplete 4x2 drive.

There are three sorts of people; those who are alive, those who are dead, and those who are at sea.

Hello All. Iv had this photo in my collection for some time and never been able to identify vehicle type. Its a fire fighting vehicle /

Re: Vehicle identity requests
I think it's a 1928 Opel converted to auxilary firetruck. The edges of the licence plate seem dark. That could be a post-war plate.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Sturm 78, hi Max,
You are right, Max. It is a 3 tonner, not the type M 1, but the type M 30. It is a vehicle of the Reichsbahn (license plate). Here a pic of such a truck ordered by the Reichsbahn (1933) out of the book "Das Lastwagen-Album Magirus" by Bernd Regenberg.
Best regards
Bert

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Bert & Sturm,
Thanks for the correction. I also considered the M 30 but the exemplar on Holger's site had front wings that extended down behind the bumper, How did you make the determination in the pic posted by Sturm?
