Hi Max,

to Your question:
I noticed that the truck had a license number of the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR - 25043). Then I was looking on the list of the registration numbers of road vehicles of the Reichsbahn (source: "Der Autobahn-Schnellverkehr der Deutschen Reichsbahn" by Volkhard Stern). The numbers from 25.000 to 25.999 were reserved for the Magirus 3 tonner. And then I was looking for this 3 tonner in the book "Das Lastwagen-Album Magirus" by Bernd Regenberg and fortunately I could find a pic of this truck with the exact designation.

Best regards

Bert

Hi Bert,
I guess my point is how do you tell the difference between an M 30 and a 3t M 1?
Cheers,
Max

Hi Max,

M 1 was the designation of the production series with different models (M 15 for 1,5to, M 20 for 2to, M 25 for 2,5to, M 27 for 2,75to and M 30 for 3to). They all had engines with six cylinders. There was also the production series M 2 with four cylinder engines. I hope I could give an answer to Your question.

Best regards

Bert

Thanks, Bert. Your explanation has been quite helpful to me. Essentially the M 25 M 27 and M 30 were subvariants based on the M 1 series platform. :)
Cheers,
Max

Hi Alexander,

both motorcycles on Your pic are BMW, the motorcycle with the sidecar is a BMW type R 12, the other one a BMW type R 4. Here pics of these vehicles (sources of the first pic:"Die BMW Kräder R 12 / R 75 im Zweiten Weltkrieg" by Janusz Piekalkiewicz, second pic: "Kräder der Wehrmacht" by Horst Hinrichsen, third pic: "Kräder der Kradschützen, Aufklätrer und Melder 1935 - 1945" by Horst Hinrichsen.

Hi Sturm and Max,
I have a photo of a white-painted Skoda 903 belonging to Luftwaffe General Reuss, perhaps the same car? Only just over 40 are said to have been produced, so the odds are good I think.
Cheers,
Kerry.

Hi Kerry,
Nice pic. I think you're right, that's a Luftwaffe General's flag on Sturm's photo. Cool.
Cheers,
Max

Hello everybody,
The truck in the screenshot of Einheitsdiesel. But what are the wide tires on it? I have not seen such a modification yet. Who knows what this modification is? Any photos of the Einheitsdiesel with these tires are welcome. Thanks in advance. (source https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09Y72cUgjzo for 21-22 sec.)

Hi uncle,
Thanks for the help, but my photo shows thicker tires with a different tread pattern except for the spare tire.
Something similar to this:
