Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi everybody
I found this interesting armoured truck with flak on ebay.
Could anybody please confirm the ebay identification as Magirus Deutz.
Any other information on this vehicle?
Regards
Armin

Hi Sturm 78, hi ilfil,
to the Magirus truck. I cannot agree with You, ilfil, that it is the type M 27/M 30. I would say it is the type L 235. Here two pic sof this type. Like You, Sturm 78, I have never seen a Magirus M27/30 with this front fenders.
Best regards
Bert

It is impossible to find out what is underneath but don't believe much those many Ebay "experts".
Could be Magirus but those sexy armoured bonned sides reminds me Büssing, which is more or less confirmed by the front bumper shape. My not very educated guess is that this is Büssing 4500A, a common platform for Flakvierling.
Well, let it be L235, probably I'm not right but the wheelbase on the picture for ID is too small for it IMHO.
Cheers!

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hello everybody,
I've written about this truck before, but no one has identified it.
Maybe now someone can identify? Thank you in advance.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Picture was taken in the Netherlands. Luftwaffe of course, seems to say Tatra to me but this is a beast, never seen one in this size. the empty radiator roundel is intriguing

It isn't Tatra nor Skoda, and it isn't Czech with these Trilex wheels.
The usual suspect was Willeme DU 10 or 12 but it isn't. With this narrow nose to me it is very rare Henschel 36 F or J.
A normal thermometer, maybe broken.
Cheers!

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hello Piet and ilfil,
ilfil is right, this is not a Czech truck. Your guess about Henschel may be correct. But I have not seen such a model with a cutout in the cargo platform for the rear wheels. Do you have a photo of the Henschel 36 F or J for comparison? Otherwise, I only have images of Henschel Typ 36W3.

But at this link the model is different from the unknown truck in my photo. We need more photos for comparison.

I've found the same picture in different quality. Rare indeed, and this is not the exact vehicle on several smal details.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hello! Please help to ID a ruck #1 (and two light tanks if possible) abandoned somewhere at Thermopylae during April of 1941.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Where are you going with your scrap metal? My truck hasn't been identified yet!
PS: besides, this topic is not for tanks.
