If you're so worried about transport trucks and their liveries, there is another thred titled "Vehicles with unit markings" here.
Thanks.
Vehicle identity requests

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Baloun and Andrij,
Thank you both.
I would say that the vehicle in my photos is right-hand drive. The opening section of the windscreen and the single windscreen wiper point to rhd rather than lhd. I think the original query photo from Sturm is likewise rhd.
Cheers,
Kerry.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
You're right, Kerry. It is definitely RHD.
Its trailer triangle is interesting. Together with the number plate it suggests German ex-civilian RHD vehicle!
Cheers!

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi all
It's alright.
In Czechoslovakia, people have been driving on the right since March 17, 1939 (General Blaskowitz's order after the invasion).
The first SKODA 706D trucks (1939-1943) were manufactured with right-hand drive.
Ok. I didn't notice the wiper.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Here is a Bianchi bus that has the half-coe nose and fenders in the same shape at the base.

Hi Piet,
It isn't Bianchi, sorry. It could be everything else from any country, to ID buses with coachbuilder's bodies is always walking on thin ice.
The buses and vans on Bianchi Miles chassis are bodied by Menarini and in most cases they didn't change the original front end sheet metal, and, where changed, it looks different than the bus on the picture which is not only bigger but totally different in details: wider nose, different fenders shape and bumper, etc. The only similarity is that both are half COE, although the Miles bonnet is obviously longer.
Cheers!

Go ahead, Piet!
You're the one who have the full right to answer.
I'll say only that it is fairly similar but smaller.

Well, I wasn't right. It turned out this is the same type indeed.
Now it is your turn, Piet. I give you 24 hours advantage.
