Vehicle identity requests
Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi uncle,
I could find two more pictures of this Skoda. Not the best quality, but I think it is the same vehicle.
Best regards
Bert

Re: Vehicle identity requests
The interesting vehicle in this picture is behind the Hetzer and the Kubelwagen. There is the nose of something on a Pz 38 chassis (you can see the drive sprocket) but it definitely isn't a Hetzer. Could it be one of the Kätzchen VK 5.01 APC prototypes? Or, is it a Bergehetzer maybe?

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Alexander, the car is a Gaz A, a licence built Soviet copy of the 1927 Ford Model A. The Gaz A has some modifications which better suited it to road and weather conditions in the Soviet Union and was built in both cabriolet form, with a folding roof and as a standard saloon car. The one in the photo is the latter.
Best wishes.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi T. A. Gardner
the vehicle is definitely a Bergepz 38 and not any prototype APC.
In the marked are you can see the base for the 2t crane.

Armin
