Re: Vehicle identity requests
The lower photo shows a Krupp Leictertraktor chassis (1933 suspension) with what seems to be a Radio vehicle conversion - one of the first Befehlspanzer? I identified the chassis from the coverage in Panzer Tracts No.3-1 where there is 22 pages including drawings by Hilary Doyle on these interesting early Leictertraktor.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
A few I know, a few guesses.
1. Mercedes of the 200 series.
2. Possibly a Buessing 4.5 tonner
3. Opel Kadett, a Horch possibly an 830, a MAN possibly an early S1H6, not sure of the last ones.
4. Praga RV
5. ??
6. Kees has the right model.
7. Ford 3 tonner of unknown country of origin.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Glenwed:
You may be correct. Several of us have been trying to ID similar trucks for about a month now and I guess it has to do with the different bodies and sometimes different hood sides that manufacturers of the day put on the trucks.
Looking at my reference sources, Faun, Krupp and Buessing made ranges of civilian trucks in the early to mid 1930 period that can be hard to identify if you do not have a very clear view of the front of the truck where you can often see the badges which helps a lot.
I will keep this one as an open question.
Bill

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Glenwed. hi Keessmit, hi Bill,
my comment to the pictures:
pic 2: I agree with Bill, that it´s a Büssing-NAG truck, I think it´s a type 500.
pic 3: I think it´s a MAN F 1 H 6, and the others except the last in the row could be Praga RV trucks.
pic 5: I think it could be a Büssing-NAG truck
pic 7: I think it´s a German Ford G 917 T truck
Regards
Bert

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hello dear all,
first time I am posting in this section.
If I am in the wrong topic, please let me know.
Found this picture but can't quite recognise the model.
It sure looks like a self propelled gun with a gun similar to the Grille but the chassis seems to be from the Light Tank Mk.VI Type B Vickers?
Could you let me know which vehicle this is?
thanks ,
K

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi K:
I am no expert on armour and my German is less than memorable.
However, your vehicle is in fact a Light Tank MK VI. They were equipped with either a 10.5 cm weapon or a 15 cm weapon and I think yours is the 10.5 cm version. The German designation for the 10.5 cm version is "10.5-cm-leFH 16 auf Geschutzwagen MK VI (e) 736"
this information comes from Walter Spielberger's book "Beute Kraftfahrzeuge und Panzer der duetschen Wermacht".
If I read the German correctly, 12 of the 10.5 cm vehicles were built and 6 with the 15cm weapon, apparently all in July 1940.
Hope this helps.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
I would believe it is Bill.
I had two pictures(but not much info) of the 10.5-cm-leFH 16 auf Geschutzwagen in my "encyclopedia of german tanks" by Chamberlain and Doyle but both pictures were with branches to camouflage the vehicle and couldn't be sure if the tracks were the same.
Thanks again.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Any ideas what this might be?
The running gear looks French, but given the vehicles in the background it appears to be in German service.
