Hi Alan,
O yes, thats definitely it even with the luggage rack on the roof, so what do you think that "lump" is that is in the front of the body looking like a engine !!

I guess the trailer I saw with a collector a short while ago must therefore be a close relative of this one, its the same size, with doors and windows as I described above, but the body is symetrical (no "pretend engine" at one end!!) and all four wheels as described above again. Its data plate was dated 1943, the body was painted darkgrey inside and darkyellow outside and has a telescopic antenna mounted next to the rear door.

Any idea of this one Anhanger type/model ??

cheers apannermanns

Hi Guys:

Further to Alan's post, here is the 468 version, Luftwaffe telephone switchboard trailer.

This and the 469 both have a sort of driver's cab which I assume is for the crew members.

Both our photos originally came from a German catalogue called D 600 which listed with a photo and description literally every piece of German wheeled and tracked equipment. Several versions were apparently printed as I have seen different dates. The photo I am attaching came from the booklet German Military Trailers 1935-1945 written by Horst Biersdorf and published originally by Podzun-Pallas-Verlag and reprinted in English by Schiffer Publishing in 1995.

In that same book, and some others I have, you can find several more similar trailers but with no front cab and single wheels/tyres on the rear. If you have a photo you can post of the one you saw we may be able to ID it.

Hi Bill,

Ok, its not that trailer either, the one I saw appears not to have a crew cab area, however as I cannot ever seem to be able to reduce photos for the forum, can I send them to you direct and maybe you can then tell me what it is and publish then on this thread if you can ?

cheers Spannermann.

Hi all,

For the image of the three wheeled towing truck and his trailer was made in France, the truck could be a FAR Pony Mécanique. This vehicle was made in France in the period from 1937 till 1970 by FAR at Gennevilliers (Paris). FAR was affiliated to Chenard-Walcker. They made the truck under license to the British Scammell Mechanical Horse and was produced in many body variants. The engine was delivered by Citroen (Traction Avant). The production ceased in 1970 when the range was taken over by a new four wheelde version.

Hi Protze,

thank You for posting the two pics of the FAR truck. After that I was searching in the book "L´automobile sous l´uniforme" by Vauvillier and I found two further pics of a FAR truck, so called type 22 X, light tractor of airfield (in French: tracteur léger d´aerodrome).

Regards

Bert

Hi All:

Looks like the Pony truck question is solved.
Here is spannerman's photo and it is a bit unlike the other photos I have but still in the same family of trailers used by the LW.

The bus should be a model 38 S 2 dating from 1935.

Hi Sturm:

The first photo is a Wanderer W11 in my opinion although I sometimes get these Kubels mixed up.
The second photo is a 1940 Chevrolet KC 1/2 ton with a typical Belgian or Dutch cab ex civilian.
Regarding your Henschel, here is a photo of the truck version, also ex civilian.

Yes, Sturm, an Adler 61 light cargo truck 4X2.
More often seen as a Kubel or as an ambulance than here as a cargo truck.
This one seems to be in very good condition for the times.

Hi Sturm 78, hi Patrick,

thank You for posting such a really good pic of this Adler truck. I´ve never seen such a good pic and it will be helpful for ID such a truck in the future. The two pics in "Kraftfahrzeuge und Panzer" by Werner Oswald are not so good.

The exact type is Adler W 61, without the K, because this means Krankenkraftwagen (ambulance). Bill mentioned it above. There are some pics of them here in this forum.

Regards

Bert
