Hi, kerryboo. Truck on your foto looks like LEYLAND HIPPO or ALBION 550 ... or another British truck)
Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Ma77xx,
Thanks for the thoughts. I have looked at many British vehicles, it is the round-topped cab which is causing me problems. But, perhaps it was a custom cab of some sort on an impressed civilian lorry. The shape of the door window does suggest ERF, but the radiator looks wrong and I cannot find a model to fit.
Thanks again,
Kerry.

Hi Andrey! I am interested in trucks with sleeper cab production to 1950. You can scan for me such photos from your magazines. My mail [email protected]!Hans 1942 wrote:Hi all,

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hello again,
My query on the last page does seem to share quite a number of identification points with this, as yet unidentified, truck. This one has a French civilian registration and looks to be lefthand drive.
Kerry.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Max,
excuse me, please, for my late reply. I think the truck on Your pic is either the type L 3,5 M 142 or LD 3,5 M 122. Here a pic out of the book "Typenkompass Krupp Lastwagen 1919 - 1968" by Wolfgang H. Gebhardt.
Best regards

Hi Max,Maxschnauzer wrote:Hello Bert and ilfil,
Thanks much for your ID and additional information on the OM 3 BOD. Another question: I had this photo in my files (probably posted by one of you guys at some time) which looks similar but has a different cab. I have it as a Type BUD. Was there also a BUD or did I just incorectly label this one?
I'm also sorry for the late answer.
Yes, the model is 8BUD of early 30s vintage, produced also by Saurer France. This one is OM, of course, i.e. pure Italian Saurer . Its cab is typical for the heavy trucks of Italian origin, regretfully the door cast shield is barely visible but it reminds me Esperia or Orlandi emblem. However, I'm not much sure, the cab could be else: Viberti, Macchi, Breda, etc., all they were similar and tough to ID on pictures with not very good quality.
Cheers!

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hello Alexander,
Number 2 is a Steyr, from the secondary headlight, just visible over the central figure's head, I think it is a model 220.
Regards,
Kerry.
