Vehicle identity requests
Re: Vehicle identity requests
Thanks ilfil, that is surely the same photo. Strangely though, the normal layout of the Kfz61 on a Krupp chassis does not have an open cab, the wooden body extends over the driver's compartment. Also the wheel arches are rounded, not the angular ones shown here. I guess it must be a local modification based on the artillery tractor or some such model?
Regards,
Kerry.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Victor, hi Markus,
could it be the bus type OD 5,5 N 42? I have only a bad pic of such a bus, but it seems that it could fit (source of the pic: www.omnibusarchiv.de).
Best regards
Bert

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Hi Bert,
thank You ver myucg for this onformation. Now we can ID the type almost certainly. According to the list in "Deutsche Omnibusse seit 1895" by Wolfgang Gebhardt it must be the engine M 422 with 125 PS, fitted in the types OD 5,5 N 42, OD 5,5 N 142 and OD 5,5 N 242.
Best regards
Bert

Very interesting funkwagen indeed. I've never seen a Kfz. 61 with a "bedframe" before, but I guess there are lots of things I haven't seen.
Cheers,

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Interesting busses. Both have civilian
license plates. AI is a Berlin prefix and
the other looks like IIIE for
Neckarkreis, Württemberg.
The Berlin bus also has a WH painted
on the fender.

Re: Vehicle identity requests
Here I have pictures of a vehicle that we could not indentify .
It looks like a vehicle of a propaganda unit, some were on the western front
Is this from origine a French vehicle ?
A small bus with almost the same type of engine hood?
Greetings
