I think, perhaps, this may illustrate more clearly,
Kerry.

Hi Kerry ,
Thanks for the pictures but it seems the last one confuses the things even more, it looks there are trafficators both behind and in front of the door!
And the duty idiot is there again, of course, in front of the bonnet sides!
Cheers!

Hi ilfil,
yes, you are right, it is indeed strange. As to the duty idiot, you are again spot-on, many of the best vehicle shots have been destroyed by some monkey standing in the way. But, in their defence, I guess they, mistakenly, believed that they were where the interest lay. I am lucky that in this case at least the rearmost slot is visible, I am just grateful for small mercies. Not wishing to muddy the water further, but this one does not appear to have either sort!
Regards,
Kerry.

Hello Kerry,
I'd say it's a 1939 Lincoln Zephyr :

Hi Max,

You are right. It is a Phänomen Granit type 27, the successor of the Phänomen Granit type 1500, produced by the VEB Kraftfahrzeugwerk Phänomen in the town Zittau in the Soviet zone of occupation in Easter Germany. The first series vehicles left the factory in 1950 (source of the pics: Christian Kunkel).

Best regards

Bert

Hi Bert,
Thanks for the ID and photos. There is a definite family reslemblance to the 1500 there, I just couldn't put my finger on it.
Cheers,
Max

I believe the first in line is a Kfz. 72 Funkbetriebskraftwagen based on the Krupp L 3 H 63, the second an Opel Blitz.
