Hi Bert,

Sounds crazy I know but... H-L Europa IV with non-standard cab and hood-louvring? If I squint methinks I see the wingy thingy radiator emblem.

Markus

Hi Markus,

thank You very much for the reply. It doesn´t sound absolutely crazy. On the contrary, I agree with You. Thank You very much for the ID.
There are three important points, that it is a Hansa-Lloyd Europe:
first the emblem of Hansa-Lloyd on the bonnet,
second the typical bumper of Hansa-Lloyd and
third the mudguard with the lamp.
Thank You very much for this very difficult ID, Markus.

Best regards

Bert

Hello all,
Is this perhaps a Mercedes Stuttgart 260? It does look small, but maybe the weight of all those bodies has pushed it down. The uniforms are an interesting mix of RAD and Heer, particularly the NCO on the left, who has a breast eagle but no collar litzen and an RAD cap badge. Curious!
Thanks,
Kerry.

Re your vehicle, Kerry, what is the prefix to the licence plate number please? It is interesting that the numbers are not in a horizontal line - the last three seem to have slumped.

And what is the marking on the far mudguard? WH?

John.

Hello John,

The prefix was erased at the time that the photo was taken, it is very hard to say. As to the lettering, it is WH in black on a white square.

Regards,
Kerry.
