Could you identify this truck, please?

Image

The photo was taken in Zagreb probably on May 11th 1945 or around that date.

***

Could you identify these two trucks and the motorbike on the lower photo?

Image

The photo was taken between March and May of 1942 between Međeđa and Višegrad.

Thank you,
Eisvogel

Hi uncle,

thank you very much. I appreciate it.

Regarding the photograph taken in Dubrovnik, the license plate of the first car starts with number 7, which indicates Banovina of Zeta (named after Zeta River), to which Dubrovnik was subordinated until August 26th 1939, when Dubrovnik became part of Banovina of Croatia whose license plates started with letter H instead of the number.

Also, although I don't see clearly the year under the number 7, its position below the number of Banovina indicates that the car was registered in even year (1930, 1932, 1934, 1936 or 1938).

Best regards,
Eisvogel

Hi Max,

thank you very much for the help provided.

The road indicated as the location where the two trucks were photographed lays at the southern end of the German zone of influence in the Independent State of Croatia, very close to the so-called 3rd zone, which was the northern part of the Italian zone of influence.

The unit to which the trucks belonged was the 1st Standing Active Brigade of UV. The photo was probably taken during the operation Trio (April 20th-May 23rd 1942).

It seems that both trucks have registration numbers applied on front left fenders, without specific license plates.

Could someone identify the model of this Mercedes truck?

First and foremost for Waleed.

You mentioned previously, that the civil registration "1A" was for Berlin, but do You know which civil registrations were used in other parts of Germany ? I am looking for this information in order to finish a small diorama.

Kind regards
