Captured T-13 (type I) of Ardense Jagers (Ardenne Hunters) near Bastogne. This unit's T13 (all Type I) had technical problems. The 47mm anti-tank gun could penetrate 40mm of steel from 1000 meters with armorpiercing rounds. It could also fire shrapnel granates. It's licenceplate is 1143. From "mei 40"

Although not a T-13, here is a belgium tank (actually French but with Belgium turret). The Belgians had 8 in service in the Escadron d'Auto-Blindées. From EBAY.

Hello,

Studied by Renault already in 1936 and built in 1938/1940, the Renault ACG-1 is designed AMC-35 (=Auto-Mitrailleuse de Combat 1935 aka AMC Renault Modèle 1935 type ACG1) in the French army. It was a fast full-tracked cavalry combat armored car. Only 47 have been produced for France and 25 at first and finally 12 were ordered by Belgium. It was equipped with the APX2 (2-men turret – 1395mm turret ring) model turret. The Belgian ACG1 had a modified turret = APX2B with a coaxial 13.2mm Hotchkiss MG instead of the 7.5mm MG. Belgium used also several APX2 turrets in coastal forts in Zeebruge (Belgium) since they had more turrets than vehicles.
Weight : 14.5t
Length : 4.55m
Width : 2.20m
Height : 2.30m
Crew : 3 men
Maximum armor : 25mm (APX-2 turret is made of cast plates bolted together, the hull is RHA bolted armor)
Maximum speed : 42 km/h (Renault engine, 4 cylinders, gasoline, water cooled, 180 hp, 11080 cm3)
Autonomy : 160 km
Armament : 47mm SA35 L/32 gun + coaxial 7.5mm turret MAC1931. Ammunitions : 120 47mm shells (APC and HE), 5250 cartridges (3750 standard = 25 magazines and 1500 armor piercing = 10 magazines).

Regards,

David

Hello Franzl,
Nice picture from Peter Taghon's book ''Mei 40''
But it's not token near Bastogne.
The picture was token near the little chapel of Hogne, just before arriving in Marche en Famenne along the N4 road. ( Namur - Marche en Famenne - Bastogne ) The small road at that time is now a large highway.
I know this place very well because I take this road once a week.
Regards from Belgium and apoliges for my poor english
Prosper
