Chinese PzI armament

The machine guns in the photos of the chinese PzIs don't look at all like MG-34s. I think they are Russian 7,62mm DP-28s judging from the barrel jacket and flash eliminator. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

You're right. They are Soviet 7,62mm DP-28s.

The person who made Chinese buy German Panzers was Hans von Seekt, the then military advisor to KMT army.

You're right. They are Soviet 7,62mm DP-28s.

Wouldn't that mean they are DT (Degtyaryeva Tankovi) and not DP (Degtyaryeva Pekhotni)?

No, they are DP-28s. The DT lacks both the barrell jacket and the conical flash eliminator. See attachment for pic of DT

The picture was taken around Nanking City in 1937 and showed a local technician trying to repair to excavate the PzI boggy down there.
