Hello.

Can anyone help me out with the following questions:

what chassis were the Maresal M05 and M06 prototypes based on (modified T-60, modified Pz 38(t) or something else)?

was the same chassis chosen for the production models?

what was the difference between M05 and M06 prototypes?

Best Regards,

Mait.

PS! If anyone can give me a decent blueprint or 3 view image of Maresal (model to enter production) I would REALLY appreciate it :)

Wasn't Maresal MO-5 and MO-6 completely new designs with only minor parts copied from other existing vehicles?

Yes I have. But Your page gives only basic statistics and the second link mentions that the Maresal M05 used mostly Romanian components. So I was wondering, if previous models were based on modified T-60 chassis the Romanians adopted that chassis for their industry as a base for Maresal production and started to produce it, OR the Germans gave them tooling/blueprints to produce Pz-38(t) chassis, OR the Romanians produced absolutely new chassis for Maresal M05.

Anyway the question arouse from the shady pictures I have found about Maresal, as different artists have not agreed about the number and size of wheels on Maresal.

Best Regards,

Mait.

PS! Perhaps some articles or books are published in Romania that deal in more detail about the Maresal project. I was kind of hoping that some Romanian forum members could help me out with decent 3 view picture of Maresal.

The Maresal TD was based on a modified T-60 chassis, not of a CKD LT VZ 38.
The vehicle is not very well documented, because the Soviets confiscated almost everything related to it.

I have seen a very bad quality scan of a magazine in internet (if I remember correctly, it was Modeler or something). I believe it was Romanian and on the scan was visible a 3-view of a Maresal. I have searched the net, but could not find any better picture. I was hoping that perhaps someone of Romanian forum-members had this magazine (or some other source) and would scan the picture and post it here.

Best Regards,

Mait.
