Here, another image from Fortepan archive. Skoda trucks but I am not sure about the model : 706 ??
Were these trucks manufactured in Hungary under license ?? :? The front bumper is different from those trucks in service with the German army....

Hi Sturm:

I am still researching these last vehicles, but so far it seems the Opels came from Germany and the Skodas from Czechoslovakia under contract to the Hungarian government. Hungary's auto industry apparently did not have the capacity to properly equip their armed forces.

It may well be that the two companies supplied chassis/cowl assemblies without bodies and tyres that were completed in Hungary.

One Hungarian source says that 393 of the Popular 1101 staff cars were delivered to Hungary 1941-1944.
