You are welcome and glad you got the rolls.

1597 is a good roll as it had a lot of the status reports along with the Meldung and Gliederung reports. i have shared quite a bit of that data on the forums over the years but dont know if i have any links of it up on the site to download. You would need to track down the specific posts and as you said its probably still not complete.

i have zipped up that entire roll and made it available at the link below. This is not a permanent link but I will leave it up a few weeks to give everyone interested a chance to download it.

I know bandwidth is an issue for some and this is is a 912 MB file so use the link below to review the contents of the roll to decide if its worth your time.

Hello Richard,

While searching for primary sources regarding the 47th VGD, I came accross this old post. Would it be possible to make roll 1597 available again? It seems to be highly relevant especially as there are only a few scattered records for 47th VGD.

Thank you very much

Hello. I am looking to do more research on the Jassy-Kishinev battle and from what I've read the T-78 R139 (from here: viewtopic.php?t=186181) roll would be a good start. Or maybe there are other rolls also? Especially for the Jassy area.
Can anybody help me with this?

Thanks!
Tudor

There are good maps (at least) at Pamyat-Naroda: just search map, the Soviet Army and the dates. There might also be German maps from the T312 series (A.O.K. 6 or 8). After you find the maps you can then search for documents from the same period.
