What I never understand is why the scan even the blank pages of a KTB!! Today I had a look in one file where I found nearly 100 blank pages....
What a waste of time an ressources.....

considering how much stuff they scan, those few blank pages don't matter at all. Additionally, it is an archive and here having something in complete form is quite important. Not to mention that digital storage space is almost free. Archives always had the problem what to keep and what to "leave behind".
It actually makes sense to a certain degree, e.g., if you look at KTBs throughout the war and if they were standardized or not (or when etc.), the total page count is important.

Well, even if they did not scan them they still exist as paper copy in the archive.....
I still not see a sense in adding much formal pages with no entries within! I work with KTBs and such stuff for about 15 years or so (thanks, Piet!)...but I never printed out those blank pages.

fire etc. and they are gone; also not everyone - far from it - has physical access to them.
> I still not see a sense in adding much formal pages with no entries within!
the overhead of removing them / not adding them would likely take more time etc.
when I go in the archives and makes photos of regulations, I usually also photograph the empty last page and back of the cover as well.
> but I never printed out those blank pages.
that makes also no sense, since you are a user, the archive is not a user, but a provider.

Yes, these were added one month ago or so.
Last item they loaded, as far as I can tell, is 12469/344 (image number being 1256123).

Nevermind, got my site search to work properly. Does the status of Findbuch / Опись 12493 remain the same?

At last! Most of them were loaded on their website more than 3 years ago, but they hadn't created the links.
