I have tried to load the T311 R154 roll via dta in the last few days, but unfortunately this is not possible.
T314 R973 is loaded instead, and I have just tested it. Is there any way to contact the nara and report the error?

I just tried that and got T311 R123 instead of R154. There have been similar mismatches between the search results and individual reel pages in T77 - sometimes it requires trying a different search (keyword search instead of browsing the entire series, or vice versa), or trying again later. If there are repeated problems, then use the email given on the reel page:

The mistaken substitution of a T314 reel is 'promising', but after the late August avalanche, we might be waiting 1-2 weeks before any new series are added if they keep to the pace of July-August, and more series aren't guaranteed even then.

T311 R154 came up correctly on a further search. It *was* here for me just now...

I went through the complete series, clicked on T311 R123 and it was correct

While the NARA identifier numbers are in sequence in the general search through T311 records, they are not contiguous or adjacent, evidently, comparing R153 and R154.

As I keep looking at files, I see that image size can vary in a range from 1 to 20 depending on the rolls. For example, an initial frame with "T77 R699" white on black in large letters can weight up to... 35 Mb. That's pretty heavy for less than 20 letters! And the whole roll is 19.5Gb...

It seems whomever run the scanning machine tempered with settings and occasionally applied extra high resolution meant for A0-large maps to standard A4 sheets of typed text...

It's unfortunate. It makes download time vary a lot. And reading the too heavy images can be real pain unless your use a gaming computer.

NARA is rolling out a beta test version of a new catalog interface over the next six months; it looks OK but is not fully populated with existing digitised materials. This might well slow down the rate of uploading of new digitised materials. September saw nothing really added to RG 242; search terms ticked up very minorly but this did not translate to any new T-series, as far as I can work out.

I was checking + studying roll T78 R948 and I saw that (in my copy) 4 pages/frames are missing, i.e. from frame 1503 (page 157) to frame 1506 (page 160) included.
Who has them and will be so kind to send them to me ? Many thanks for the favor.

P.S.: I just finished to study the roll T78 R948 and I noted that not only the 4 pages above but also the following 11 pages are missing :
from frame 1447 (page 104) to frame 1451 (page 108)
from frame 1472 (page 126) to frame 1477 (page 131)
So in total are 15 frames/pages missing (5 + 6 + 4 above)
I hope somebody of You has the full roll and is so kind to send me all 15 pages (missing in my copy). Please. Thanks

Hello and thank you very much for this list!

I am currently doing research for the battle south of Izium , 17-21 July 1943 (it was similar to the fighting that happened there this year). One roll that would be very helpful:

T 314 R 724

Also very helpful would be documents from the "Wiking" division for 17-21 July 1943 because the division was deployed there to stabilize the situation south of Izium. But I think they are not available from NARA?
