Finding Aids in Physical Format

#1

Post by Stronghammer » 11 Nov 2017, 23:17

With this group here on Axis History, I'm extraordinarily interested in the possibility of working together to obtain and publish captured German records that could be utilized for genealogy research: indexing the 3-ring binders on S.S. members, the race and resettlement office and their recording of marriages and families, S.A. rosters and personnel files, and many more which have not seemed to surface yet en masse.

Is there anyone on this forum who would be interested in photographing the pages? I can manage finding people to help with the indexing of these pages, but I do not have time to travel to the archives myself until the summer. If not, does anyone have advice on streamlining their schedule when visiting the archives? I want to accomplish as much as I can during the hours they are open.

Thanks!
