Give the NARA Roll number and we will tell.

It might not be complicated to find in the NARA catalog because it's a regiment, not a division. But who knows.

Perhaps it's one of those differences in language things, but RichD-M isn't "searching" for a document at all, he is asking for somebody else to do the searching for him, and then, once they've done the search, to give it to him if they find it.

Remember this? Look familiar?

Does anyone have the rolls with the KTB for SS-"Nederland" for sale?
Give the roll number and you may even get them for free.
Mori, do you know how I can find out what roll numbers they are on?

Thanks, I did not catch the nuance.

And good luck to RichD...

:P

Step 1: Ascertain whether such a document exists.
Step 2: If answer to step 1 is YES, then ascertain which archive/organization(s) hold(s) the original document or a copy.
Step 3: Search the databases/listings/finding aids of that/those organization(s) for file/archive reference(s).
Step 4: Contact organization to order copy.

Alternatively, why go to all that time and effort when it is so much easier to get some helpful poster on AHF to do it all for you?

Certainly I am not asking for anyone to do all the work, apologies if that is the case. I have found members of this community to be very helpful, and figured it was worth a try to ask if anyone knows what roll number the relevant document is on, before contacting the BA, which I shall now do. Thanks.

I see. So you're not asking for somebody else to search the NARA lists or the online BAMA indexes ...

... you're just enquiring if they've already done it for you and happen to remember the result - so you don't have to do it yourself!
