Rail shipments Eastern front

Post by Birdsong » 11 Jan 2020 20:31

Hello all,

I am currently researching 2nd Panzer Army's condition between December 1941 and August 1942, I am wondering if it is possible using NARA rolls (OKH or OKW) identify specific deliveries made from Germany to units on the eastern front and what was included in these deliveries?

I have identified several deliveries including one in December with tank replacements but it would to go further and plot as many deliveries especially of newer equipment. Any suggested numbers would be very helpful and much appreciated.

Thanks

You might want to visit UK National Archives at Kew.
Among the numerous volumes of decoded German radio messages there are messages referring to rail shipments.
see HW 5/119 to 122 is devoted to rail transport decrypts. There are more HW 5/599
