T78 R522-524 Quality

Hello all,

I was wondering if the documents in these rolls (specially the Staerke der Heeresgruppen…) are available elsewhere (such as Ger Docs in Russia) since I just downloaded the version in WWII Dig Arch and it is now obvious that the low quality is due to the original microfilming and not to Calvin's compression. While I wouldn't mind the regular replacement data, the part I find the most interesting is the weekly review of unit quality which should tell a story over time, but, beyond the low quality, the disjointed manner of these films (as two pagers, many of the Staerke are missing one of the halves) renders these rolls as a giant tease with no payoff. Hopefully someone out there has found them elsewhere (maybe they are duplicated in another roll?) or even somewhere on the net in summarized/spreadsheet form.

Thanks,
/s/ Harry

About GDIR: you will be the one able to check whether the precise files you're looking for are also there...

The original documents should be in BAMA Freiburg. If the microfilmed copy is not legible, the only way is to travel to Freiburg and check the paper document.

I would also be interested to know which BAMA files map to these NARA rolls.

Maybe RH 2 (check Invenio)?
