Hi,

The SSO A3343 series is more than 900 rolls (all officers).
The RS A3343 series is more than 7,800 rolls.
SSEM A3343 - 1,738 rolls.

The total amount is about 10,500 rolls.

Hello smetanin albert
Thanks for the answer, but of all the rolls that you indicate, I refer exclusively to these that I have put in red and that appear on the NARA website

SS Officer Personnel Files. Microfilm Publication A3343, Series SSO. 909 rolls.
SS Enlisted Men Personnel Files. Microfilm Publication A3343, Series SM. 1,738 rolls.
SS Women Personnel Files. Microfilm Publication A3343, Series SF. 99 rolls.
SS Lists. Microfilm Publication A3343, Series SS. 26 rolls.

SS Lists. Microfilm Publication A3343, Series SS. (26 rolls).

These are not lists of officers!!!
This is a collection of different documents.

z.B.:
Rolls #A0017 - A0019

There are lists of wanted SS officers (circa 1946).
These are called RG-260 rolls (3 rolls in total)

Hi.
2-3 people have a roll.
This roll was partially stolen from NARA (lists of officers with the letter "L" were stolen).

Albert

Someone managed to walk out of the door with the roll?

As far as I understand, NARA has 2 copies of the rolls: copies are in the public room, while originals are kept downstairs and never communicated to the public.

You are correct. NARA has three collections of rolls - one for public access, one that is used for making copies, and a record copy that is rarely touched at all.

These quotes are taken from a letter from a renowned researcher:

Thank you for your ......
I hope that you find some good information in this data base. It is interesting to see the lists of men for whom the Personalakten were missing. Sometimes this was only the Führerkarte that was missing and the rest of the file can be found in the SSO files. I was lucky to obtain this publication. Over 30 years ago during my ..... visit to NARA in Washington, DC an archivist told me that I might be interested in these records and he showed me the microfilm. As soon as I returned home I ordered all three rolls from NARA. There is an interesting story from a man in Holland that I stole from NARA a hard drive with all of these documents. Impossible! Still. the original microfilm seems to have disappeared. Copies of these documents exist at the BA in Berlin per the attached file that someone sent to me. This is interesting because the lists were prepared by the US CIA!.....

I fail to see anything related to "special services having access to any documents" :)

I didn't understand the part of this testimony about the "story from a man in Holland that the [anonymous, renowned researcher] stole a hard drive from NARA". Can you make it more clear?
