2 more updates since last time. The total number of digital files is currently at 359.725. Again, no clue what they uploaded.

In February: RH +396, RM +695 and RL +84 files. Nothing new in PH, RW or RS.

Just in case anybody from the Bundesarchiv is reading this: Invenio should really provide a way to search for or keep track of recently added files.
Doesn't have to be anything fancy, as long as it's usable.

I would second this, I dont fancy blindly wandering through various folders for new files.

Today's update took the headline file count to 361.847, so +2122 files, out of +10.575 since the start of the year.

While there are some Lichterfelde and a few regular Freiburg additions, the big update is to PERS 6, which went from 4507 to 5589 files = +1082 files, maybe expanding the Generalskartei, but the Luftwaffe keyword search breached 16,000, so there were definitely additions there within PERS 6, as there was no discernible increase in the RL-Bestaende.

I am interested in most of what Albert has posted above - unfortunately very little has been digitized.

Nick Terry, do you have insight in what has been updated in Invenio?
The current number is 366.311 digitalized files.

It's been slow going in April so far (+1063 files), after a reasonable first quarter (circa +13,740 files added). But that's likely because of Easter holidays.

3.1.23 - 351.408
1.4.23 - 365.148
18.4.23 - 366.311

As TH just reminded us, the temporaer gesperrte Bestaende list for Freiburg includes a lot of RH 2 OKH files, and these are being slowly worked through; including a number of oversized map/diagram files at the bottom of RH 2. There are other map files being added for OKW and Heer collections, Luftwaffe is slowly ticking up. I don't see a clear set of Schwerpunkte in the out-for-scanning list.

"Kriegstagebuch" has been static at 7153 digitised files, 7000 in 1867-1945, 4862 within Militaer-Reichswehr/Wehrmacht, for some time now. In February 2022, so just over a year ago, it was at 4069 total digitised files. That's the search term I'd watch if looking to see what progress is being made with military records, along with looking at the temporaer gesperrte Bestaende list.

Elsewhere, the most gains for any one collection are probably in ALL 3 Nürnberger Prozesse, the papers of IMT and NMT defence lawyers, now up to 294 files compared to nothing 1-2 months ago.

Thx guys!
I am particulary happy with the RH 53/18 files, as those contain a lot of organisational stuff from the Wehrkreis itself, but also general orders.

Bundesarchiv updates were slow at the end of April and start of May, partly because of May Day.
11.12.21 - 240.869 files
3.1.23 - 351.408 files
25.4.23 - 366.970 files
three updates missed entirely
4.5.23 - 367.549 files
https://twitter.com/historiannick/statu ... 0247861248

The latest updates include incremental additions to RH 2 OKH, some SS files from Berlin-Lichterfelde and the BDC (Richard Thomalla's file among them), and now 9 files of the Propaganda Ministry conferences in R 55, so +8 in the past fortnight.
