I believe one of these rolls is the KTB for the "Germania" Regiment? Do you know what time period it runs from until?

Cheers

Thanks, that clarifies that; I believe none of the divisional or regimental KTB survived the war.

The KTBs for SS-Pz.Rgt.5, II./SS-Rgt. "Westland" and III./SS-Rgt."Nordland" survived the war. The KTB for SS-Pz.Gren.Rgt.Germania is lost in space.

Wiking's divisional KTB was retrieved by a French soldier belonging to the 2.DB when the latter captured the Berghof. A few years ago, I tried to find his trace via the 2.DB vets association, but to no avail.

The German "Bundesarchiv" digitized several Wiking documents (high res, color, no watermarks). Just click on "Digitalisat anzeigen" here:

https://invenio.bundesarchiv.de/invenio ... fc280f7f1/

Additionally, the whole T354 series has also been digitized and is available on the US National Archive site:

https://catalog.archives.gov/search?ava ... naId%3Aasc

One thing, does someone know what rolls contain Wiking’s Knight’s Cross recommendation texts, like these ones (I would like to read the German originals):

https://www.tracesofwar.com/persons/282 ... Wiking.htm
https://www.tracesofwar.com/persons/298 ... -Georg.htm

The source says: Microfilm Publication A3343. But what NARA roll are these on?

Some of these are available on this site: http://wwiidigitalarchives.org/hello-world

A couple of contributors of this forum collect them and make a business of reselling samples to people like you.

Unfortunately,
the best (interesting) collection has not been digitized.

This is the so-called "Vopersal collection".

I forgot to say that
the information about the losses located in the WASt(Berlin-Reinickendorf) will not be available to ordinary researchers (and online)!

I had samples of this Vopersal collection. It's a hodgepot of documents collected by an author of hagiographic books on various units. Although it's kind of interesting to have a look, any serious scholar will refer to the original, primary sources instead. A minor part of the Vopersal consists of privately-published veteran letters, which can otherwhise be difficult to find, but which also have too strong biaises to be used alone.
