I am looking for a copy of the pre-WW1 Prussian AKOs --Allerhochsten Kabinettsordres -- I can't find them. Can anyone help? Thanks so much.

Greetings Joe,

Those AKO relating to the military were published in the Armee-Verordnungsblatt. I have the years run for 1893 and 1903. Occasionally these come up on second hand book search engines. What are you specifically looking for?

Regards
Glenn

Glenn We are trying to read the original wording in the Prussian AKOs. I found one of these for 1910 but have resisted buying it. $70 for one year. Do you need each year or does 1910 for instance cover all uniform changes up until then. Of course this is all helmet related. Is there anything else? I thought everyone colected pickelhauben. Gasp gasp.

Joe,

I think the sad fact is, that one one need the lot to cover everything. Introductory orders and changes to extant regulations were published per AKO as necessary and then distributed in the AVB.

Glenn
