This is the only Lw. officer with this name who reached the rank of Oberst by war's end:

EILERS, Alfred. 01.10.39 Maj., with Fl.H.Kdtr. Jüterbog-Waldlager. 23.01.42 Maj., appt temporary
Kdt. Fl.H.Kdtr. Deutsch-Brod. 07.05.42 Kdr. Flieger-Abt./Luftflotten-Nachr.Schule 4 (previously
acting Kdt. Fl.H.Kdtr. Deutsch-Brod). 01.06.42 promo to Obstlt. 10.44 Obstlt., Kdt. Fl.H.Kdtr.
Graudenz? 30.01.45 promo to Oberst.

As you can see, the information on him is rather sparse.

Hello to all,
I would like to submit one little piece of information to this story.
From the Nizkor Project

TRANSLATION OF DOCUMENT 3735-PS:
Berchtesgaden, 20th June, 1945
Testimony of AIr. Erich Kempka on the last days of Hitler Page 582: "After 20 April 1945 Reichsminister Speer came to the ReichsChancellery with a Stork (compare to US L-5) which was flown by Thea Rasche."

Kind Regards

Speer's last visit to Berlin and to the Führerbunker was his arrival on April 22nd and his departure on April 23rd, 1945. On April 26th, Hanna Reitsch piloted a Fieseler Fi 156 Storch aircraft into the heart of Berlin carrying LW Generaloberst Robert Ritter von Greim summoned to a meeting with Hitler at the Führerbunker. At this meeting Hitler promoted von Greim to the rank of Feldmarschall and Commander of the Luftwaffe to replace Hermann Göring, who had been discharged of all his duties and positions and placed under house arrest in Berchtesgaden. At their landing near the Brandenburg Gate, von Greim suffered a wound from ground fire and had to be medically treated at the Führerbunker; he departed Berlin on the evening of April 28th with Hanna Reitsch again as his pilot. For this flight Reitsch used an Arado Ar 96 from the same improvised airstrip. This was the last plane out of Berlin.

Sorry, but that plane was - according to Hanna Reitsch herself - piloted by one 'Feldwebel B', the guy we are looking for here ;-)

This thread is fascinating! Has anything else come to light?
