I cannot see clearly in this picture but I think the area where the struts meet the wings looks like it has a bomb rail attached. Two variants the P and the U had this. A discussion somewhere on the internet mentioned something about attachments to the landing gear. Might want to review the U or P variant. If this a U or P I would say a rare photo indeed.

Thank you very much for your answer, shamirnewell

I didn`t know these variants of Fi 156....Here another image form Ebay.
Are the things in red circles bomb racks ?

Perhaps the things in landing gear are floaters ....

They are not flotation devices as there is no way they could support an aircraft with that small of a float. There is mention of sighting devices attached to landing gear and this is what I think or some sort of radio electronic gear. Yes the objects in the red circles appear to be attachment points for bomblets, smoke dischargers etc. There is a bomb on the ground under the center fuselage rack btw.

Edit: Based on your second picture I think they are sighting devices for bomb fall. Notice there appears to be a white rod with graduations on it running from the landing strut to the center fuselage right above the red circle. Just my opinion and thoughts.

Very nice puctures. Is it possible to see registration codes on this aircraft?

I read in a Valiant book about the Storch that the egg shaped object maybe would be flare markers.

It is Fi 156 U used by Küstenfliegerstaffel 1/706 at Aalborg-See/DK in 1940-41. There were 3 of them on strenght. Yes the attachment are flotation devices, wich would open in contact with water if aircraft ditched, as the aircraft were used too control minefields in Skagerrak. If forced to ditch they were ment to keep it floating a while. Vkz were CQ+QL, +QY and +QZ.
