It wasn't a copy. In WWII many Me-109 (and many other plans, tanks, guns, railway engines and other equipment) were produced in "Reichsprotektorat Böhmen-Mähren". After war many components and materials were in Czechoslovakian factories. So they contiuned to produce Me 109 for their own Air Force and for export. They called their modified Me-109 Avia S 99. But they were short of original DB 605 engines. But they had many Junkers Jumo 211 engines. So they modifed the plane and called it S 199. Jumo 211 was an engine which was originally used for Ju 87, Ju 88 and HE 111.

didn't the Jumo engine turn the prop in the other direction than the DB 605? If yes it must have been a hell of a ride on takeoff and landings

I'm not an expert. Generally Me 109 was difficult to start and land. It was impossible to fire through propeller of Jumo 211.
