I think you mean the Arado Ar-234.
Hitler loved the design and saw his "Blitzbomber" in it capable of bombing Britain without airsuperiority. see for example : http://www.vectorsite.net/avar234.html
Was primarily used for recon I believe, also it's prototypes flew in 1943, it wasn't ready for serialproduction then ( I think).

If you mean the Arado 234, it only began service as a bomber in late 1944. The Ar234 first became operational as a reconnaissance plane in August 1944. First operational mission was a recon flight over the Normandy beaches on August 2 1944.
Originally the Ar234s flew as a Sonderstaffel under OKL command, but as more aircraft became available two ommandos - Sperrling and Hecht - became operational by autumn 1944. In January 1945 the two Kommandos were disbanded and the photo-equipped Ar234s were organized in 1. (F)/33, 1. (F)/100 and 1. (F)/123 staffeln, which must have had some 30 to 40 aircraft between them if they were at full strength.
by February/March 1945 a tiny Kommando Sommer was set up in Italy, discussed in this thread:

Ar234 jet bombers began operations with the 9./KG76 in December 1944. Some nine Ar234s bombed Liege on Dec. 24 1945. The 9./KG76 also participated in Bodenplatte January 1 1945 with six aircraft. By February 1945 the remainder of III/KG76 had also converted to Ar234s, their most famous actions being the raids against the Remagen bridge in March. by the end of the war the Stab and II. Gruppe of KG76 had also converted to Ar234s (KG76 was originally a Ju88 equipped Geschwader; I Gruppe was disbanded in June 1944), but apparently they did not fly any operational missions before the end of the war.

Waffen, maybe you're thinking of the Ju-287 bomber which flew in October 1944 ?

Re: german built jet bomber 1943
The Ar 234C (which had four BMW 003s in a pair of twin-engine nacelles, similar to that of the Ar 234 V8) was being prepared for service tests before the end of the war, and only 20 Ar 234Cs were completed. Only the Ar 234B variant with two Jumo 004Bs saw operational service (production plans for the Ar 234A [which had the trolley-and-skid landing gear of the first eight Ar 234 prototypes] were cancelled due of the development of the Ar 234B).
