Need Pics All German & French 2-Seater Biplanes Used WW2
Have been surprisingly unable to ID the German or French recce job formerly at Musee de la Trois Guerres, Diors.
Radial engine, 2 guns for observer. Generator prop between main landing gear struts. I have to go from memory & have few other details. The plane was captured at La Martinerie in 1944 & used by the FFI.
There seems to be no comprehensive illustrated list of any nation's WW2 recce types online.

Various planes might fit your description. For example, there is the Mureaux 117, taken from the very useful aviafrance page. If I can make it display, which it doesn't seem to want to

Mystery Plane
Merci - however if you read my description again you can see this is a very different plane.
I'm surprised that i've been unable to ID it anywhere, since there were only so many different types that would fit the description & could have been used in that time & place. It seems i'll just have to wait for the right WW2 aircraft fanatic to come along.
I wonder if it might possibly have been neither German nor French, but possibly a captured plane from some other country that the Germans flew in to La Martinerie & used there. That could complicate the ID but still, i would think the possibilities would be relatively limited.

Re: Blériot-SPAD S.510
The aircraft in this photo is a high-wing monoplane. The only French biplane fighter used at the start of World War II before Hitler's conquest of France in June 1940 was the Blériot-SPAD S.510.Bronsky wrote: ↑19 Sep 2006, 12:45Various planes might fit your description.
