Just curious as to what plane Hess flew to in Britain and what unit was the plane from and what airfield did he fly from?

Jawohl Kemosabe!

1. Plane: Messerschmitt, Me 110, Fighter, specially equipped for long distant flight.

2. Plane's unit: Obtained directly from Willi Messerschmitt's Augsburg factory.

3. Airfield: Augsburg Flugplatz der Messerschmitt-Werke.

The Me 110 was a model E that the British had no news of its existence. Hitler was worried by this too

I think that you already know this, but pieces of the plane in wich Rudolf Hess was flying are now in the Imperial War Museum in London.
