If you can get your hands on a copy of William Green's Famous Fighters of the Second World War, Volume I, it has lots of information on virtually all versions of this aircraft, along with line drawing profiles of the major ones and lots of photographs. This book has been out of print for quite a while now, but there are apparently quite a few used copies available. Since later works by other authors have appeared in the last thirty years, he is no longer quite the last word on all his subjects, but this is still a good place to start and it sounds like the kind of thing you are looking for.

My understanding is that the Sturmvogel was the despised bomber version which Hitler insisted upon for raids on England. It was never produced with a bomb sight so it could never have bombed anything with accuracy.

The Schwalbe was the fighter version.

Heimatschutzer I am unsure of, but Heimat means "home"
Reading the links above it mentions a rocket boosted interceptor.

The Me262C-1a Heimatshutzer Eins was indeed fitted with a rocket motor in the rear fuselage with one thrust tube and an abbreviated rudder. It could reach 38,400ft in 4 and a half minutes. Oberleutnant Heinz Bar of III./EJG2 scored a kill in his C-1a "V186" over a P-47 in early March 1945, but very soon after the aircraft was destroyed on the ground by an Allied Fighter sweep.

There's also the 262 V12 aircraft that was the single item constructed with the BMW 003R composite jet/rocket engines that flew only once on the 26th of March.

Other variants were the two Me262E-1 - built and tested as Me262A-1a/U4 - fitted with the 50mm Mauser MK214A cannon for tankbusting. Ground trials on this were conducted from 23rd March 1945; the Me262A-1a/U3 recce aircraft with the armament removed and either two Rb 50/39 cameras or an Rb 20/30 and an Rb 75/30 in the nose bay; also the Me262A-1a/Schul a single-seat trainer to operate as the A4; also the Me262A-1b with BMW 003 turbojets - only three completed before the war ended.

Also the Me262A-5a "armed recce fighter", and the Me262A-3a heavily-armoured ground attack aircraft.

The major difference between the Me262A-1A Schwalbe and the Me262A-2A Sturmvogel was that the 2A Jabo deleted the upper pair of cannon, and added two hardpoints inder the weapons bay that could each carry a 250kg bomb, later adapted to carrying drop tanks or rocket launchers. The only known Jabo variants are the A-2a/U1(two of), built to test the improved TSA bombsight, and the Me262A-2a/U2 with the glazed nose for a bomb aimer; the V11 prototype of this flew 22 test flights before crashing on 30th March 1945

The Me262B-1a was indeed the tandem two-seat trainer...and 15 were converted into Me262B-1a/U1 nightfighters in addition to the single-seat A-1as fitted with radar...

BUT the Me262B-2a was supposed to be the definitive two-seat nightfighter version; it had a lengthened fuselage, an "aerodynamically-refined" cockpit, increased fuel capacity, two 30mm Schrage Musik cannon, and further provision to tow a trailing fuel tank like the Deichselschlepp towed-bomb array tested on single-seaters. it was originally intended that it should fly in prototype form in December 1944, but this slipped to 22nd march...and in the end wasn't flown before the surrender. A USAAF document lists it as "ready for takeoff" but it was never flown.

the Coandă-1910 designed by Henri Marie Coandă flown for the first time for the last time 16 December 1910 (it burned and crashed on first flight...wich was an accident by itself as Coandă wanted only to test it's engine).

the first kill for a British jet a Gloster Meteor was made on august 4 1944 a V-1 flying bomb sourced only from wikipedia and according to the same source the first Me262 was 8 days earlier becoming the first jet kill, so yes the Germans where first by 8 days

yes but not necessarily. the german were ahead 8 days with a combat kill, not a first flight. in fact i think the germans actually had the me-262 in 1942.

?? the British jet flew way before it's first kill of a V-1 it first flew in protype tests in 1941
Development of a turbojet-powered fighter by Sir Frank Whittle's firm, Power Jets Ltd., and the Gloster Aircraft Company began in November 1940. The first British jet powered aircraft, the single-engined Gloster E28/39 prototype, had its maiden flight on 15 May 1941
the first jet powered flight took place for the Me 262 on july 18 1942 about a year and 2 months after the British first flew a jet powered planehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gloster_E28/39

Wich was wel after the first fight of the He-178....August 27, 1939
However a He-178 and the E.28/39 are both not the same as an Gloster Meteor or Me-262.
Altough i think the E.28/39 was capable of carying guns....but then again the He-280 flew on it's own power on March 30, 1941.
