Hello Sturm78 :

I think it's a Heinkel He 111 B-2.

Hi von thoma ,

How can the two variants be differentiated?
I think that the engine exhausts are different, as well as the side air intakes of the engines, but I'm not sure...
Maybe also the radiators are a bit deeper on one variant compared to the other but I am not sure....

AFAIR the wing planform changed from E to F and the J was basically a B airframe with an F wing. But that is hard to tell from that angle.
engine exhaust are no real marker as new ones could be retrofitted to older airframes

Ummhhh... Well, in the most of the wartime images is not possible to differenciate the wing profile....
What do you think about the profile of the side air intakes of the engines or the deep of the engine radiators ??

Here two images to show the differencies in engine exhausts, side air intakes of the engines and deep of the engine radiators :
I think image 1 is a He 111B and image 2 a He 111J...probably....

Not, second picture is not a He 111 J, it's a He 111 B-2 ( late B-2s ), repositioned individual engine exausts, long carburator intake,
and enlarged radiator.
