Thank you very much for your answer and the images, von thoma...

I have been going through all my He 111 photos and it turns out that none of them have the He 111J characteristics.... 8O
According to my information only 90 aircraft of the He 111J were manufactured but it is strange that there are so few images....

Nobody for my last image ?? :(

Well, here another question about early versions of the He 111 bomber.

I believe that both images show version B, but in the first image the engine's side air intake is smaller and in the second one it is larger. Does this difference indicate a B-1 model with respect to the B-2? :?
Both planes show the Ikaria frontal mount for the MG in the nose...

On the other hand, in one of the planes the side cover of the engine exhaust is missing, which can be seen in many photos of the time in the B models.

A French Loire-et-Olivier H-257bis torpedo bomber with wheel undercarriage instead of floats. And carrying (possibly) "a torpedo-shaped 264 Imp.gal. long-range tank."
From William Green's War Planes of the Second World War Volume 6 Floatplanes (1963) at page 41

Can't tell if its in service with the Aeronautique Marine or Armee de l'Air. The unit marking on the fuselage probably would answer this.

Yes, SG-38 with original, undamaged skid. Repaired skids (after hard landings) had a little different profile.
