SC 50 J Ausf. A, as the inscription SC 50 JA on the box says.Image 1: I think SC50-SD70
From the bomb at the very right, I'd say SC 500.I am not sure if SC250 or SC500...
Thank you very much for your help, Grzesio . I didn't know that there were a longer version of SC1000 bomb.Grzesio wrote
I think so too, the latter ones seem to be of the longer SC 1000 L2 variant.
Yes, there were SC 1000 (or SC 1000 L) with one piece body, 258 cm long as well as SC 1000 L 2 with two piece body (separate ogive), 280 cm long.I didn't know that there were a longer version of SC1000 bomb.
Looks a little bit similarly to a British high capacity bomb - HC 2000-lb Bomb or so. Maybe it's a question of a variant.Any idea about this? I am not sure if an aerial drop item or not.....
I have, sadly, very few reference on Italian bombs.Grzesio..any idea about the italians bombs posted 08 Oct 2017 ?
I have noe documents at hand to consult, but it reminds me of british WW2-era ground mines (a bit strange location for such object though).Sturm78 wrote:Any idea about this? I am not sure if an aerial drop item or not.....
