Re: Id. aerial bombs
I think you are right, the 1st one seems to be the SD 500 (without the variant suffix), the 2nd one looks like the PC 1000 or SD 1000. But one cannot be 100 per cent sure without careful comparison of the photos against drawings.

Hi all
An image from Ebay. it is difficult to read the inscriptions but I would say that it says SD, so I guess it will be SD70 bombs

Re: Id. aerial bombs
There is a number of clues...
1. Many more inscriptions than on regular bombs;
2. Inscriptions are to be read looking from the tail, not the nose;
3. 110 HE code;
4. Bright colour;
... and the ID is finally confirmed by the...
5. S BE C II marking.
So they are SBe 50 C II.

Re: Id. aerial bombs
Thank you very much for your help, again, Grzesio.
The information that appears in the book "German Air-Dropped Weapons" by Wolfgang Fleischer is quite limited, and does not describe the inscriptions or the colors of the different models of bombs...
Here another image from Ebay. I think in the boxes is can read SD50 but I am not sure...The tail fins seem to reach the edge of the tail cone so could be SC50....or even SC250 since it's hard to tell the size...

Re: Id. aerial bombs
You are right, the marking on the box says SD 50 Pr (also made of Pressstahl), although the bombs look like SC 50 indeed.
