Thank you, Grzesio
Here, an interesting image of SC50 (I think) bombs with Dinort nose rods

Very interesting photo indeed! These rods are, however, ZAR (Zünderabstandsrohr) not much thicker DinSt.

The bigger bombs are SC 250 - HE code 13 (Fp 60/40) and elAZ (25) fuze marking can be seen. One can also see the HE code 110 on one of the smaller bombs, so it's a SBe 50 concrete fragmentation bomb.

Thank you Grzesio. I don`t have much information about the different markings on the German bombs....

Here, an image from SA-Kuva archive. It is can see the makings III on a bomb and 55 on other bombs

III means Güteklasse III = Three piece construction ??
Which is the meaning of the 55 marking ??

SC50 or SD70 bombs ??

III means Güteklasse III = Three piece construction ??
Yes, III is for the quality class, meaning actually the weakest body construction rather than 3 pieces as such (class II bodies could also be made of three pieces). One can see a welded ogive piece as well as a letter K just under the III - so it's the SC 50 K.
13A on one of the bombs is a HE code (Amatol 50/50).
Which is the meaning of the 55 marking ??
It's for the elAZ (55) fuze.
And if you look closely, there are two lines of text visible at the rear part of the body - so the bombs in the background would be SBe 50, what is corroborated by the lack of stripes on their tail cones (SBe were painted green overall without other colour markings).

I wrote a blog article on German bombs markings, it's sadly not translated (yet), but maybe the Google translator will do the job: https://blogkaboom.blogspot.com/2020/01 ... y.html?m=1

Thank you very much for your answer and for the link to your aticle.

I have not been able to read it in its entirety yet but it looks very interesting and I think it will be of great help to me in identifying German bombs... :)
