Dear friends.

How effective were these two german radio controlled glide boms?
Someone told me that they had problems with the radio who cotrolled them not the bomb itself, is that true?
When and where were they used for the first time?
Were they only used for antishipping?
From which aircrafts were they launched?
Did the Germans have any other antishipping glide bombs?
What did they have up in their sleeves? Can you find them in 1/48?
Whould they have made a difference for the Germans in the war if they had worked to 100%?
Where can I read more about them and others missiles?

All the best.

As far as i know, the radio controlled bombs were difficult to aim. But they were effective nonetheless.

As for a model of Hs-293 or Fritz X, look for a 1:48 Do-217N or He-177A5. You'll get a pair of each i think. :)

There was an improved version of the Henschel Hs 293, the Hs 294. Info on that missile is available at this link:
