They are probably listed in this book:

Prien, Jochen, Peter Rodeike and Gerhard Stemmer, Messerschmitt Bf 109 im Einsatz bei der II./Jagdgeschwader 27 1940-1945 (Eutin, 1998).

The Prien books usually provide the Stellungsbesetzungs- lists in an appendix and the back of the book.

(1) Go to this web site: http://www.ww2.dk/
(2) Click on "Luftwaffe Officer Career Summaries" in the Contents column along the left side of the page. This will open to a .pdf document that is divided into 4 sections based on the letters of the alphabet.
(3) Click on and open section A-F. It will take 5 seconds or so to open because it is 400 pages long.
(4) In the SEARCH block on the right side of the toolbar enter: Staka 2./JG 27 and then hit Enter on your keyboard.
(5) This will give you the first name in A-F. For the next name in A-F (if any), click on the second of the two little icons just to the right of the SEARCH block. The first icon says "previous" and the second one says "next".
(6) Once you have finished with A-F, go to the next section (G-K) and repeat the process.
(7) You will have to do this with each Staffel (2., 6., 7.) and each section (A-F, G-K, L-R, S-Z), but in a few minutes you will have all of the Staffelkapitäne.

**Note: your initial question (Does anyone know the Staffel commanders of the 2 /6/7 staffel of II Gruppe Jadggeschwader 27 from 1941 through 1943?) is wildly incorrect. The 2. Staffel did not belong to II. Gruppe and never did. It belonged to I. Gruppe. Only 6. Staffel always belonged to II. Gruppe. The 7. Staffel did not belong to II. Gruppe until late July 1944. Before that it belonged to III. Gruppe.

May I ask why you need these names? It is usually only those who have studied the Luftwaffe for many years who want this sort of rather finite detail.

Hi L. Thanks for the info. I have used this site before but it is not complete. Many officers are missing. I am researching items I have which show the signatures of the staffelkapitans. Iam hoping to figure out who they are. Thanks

From Jagdgeschwader 27 of Ring and Girbig a survey of the Staffelkapitäne.
The book is from 1971.

Larry,

Use "Post reply" and not "Quick reply".
At Post reply is a button "Upload attachement".
Saves you a lot of typing.

O.K., I see the "Upload Attachment" tab. Then I am guessing I use my printer to make an image, send it to my computer Desktop, copy the image to the Clipboard and then paste it into the "Post a Reply" blank?
L.

8 Hours Later:
I just tried inserting an image using both .pdf and .jpg copies and nothing happened. My printer/scanner is only a year old and I am sure it can do this. The problem is simply that I do not know how.

Larry,

Most probably your file was too large.
Scanning pictures at a high resolution gives large files.
Reduce the size to 200 to 400 kb by compressing.
This is available in Microsoft Office Picture Manager.

In most cases the reason for not uploading is said in bleu text at your page/screen.

Thanks, Jaap. Unfortunately, it's much more complicated than that. I did scan at 300dpi. I posted a query on the AHF "Comments" sub-forum and got some very comprehensive replies, but it will take me some time to work this out if it is indeed possible to do so. The complex mechanics of it all may be above my pay grade, so to speak. But thanks anyway for your much appreciated advice.

Does anyone have a photo of Oblt Gert Framm of JG27? I believe he shot down my Grandfather on 12th May 1940 over Belgium.

I'm interested to find out what happened to Gert Framm, as I believe he survived the War to an old age.

Regards, Ross Edwards
