Re: Luftnachrichten Truppen
Do you have info on LN-Rgt 4 in 1941/42?
The enemy had superiority in numbers, his tanks were more heavily armoured, they had larger calibre guns with nearly twice the effective range of ours, and their telescopes were superior. 5 RTR 19/11/41

What component? It was a big regiment. It supported Luftflotte 4 in Ukraine and S Russia, operating the Luftflottenkdo.'s communications centers, it's aircraft safety systems, it strung wire and ran cables, it intercepted, decoded and analyzed Soviet signals, etc.Do you have info on LN-Rgt 4 in 1941/42?

Re: Luftnachrichten Truppen
I'm in the possession of a map of the Netherlands, marked III. [Abteilung] / Lg.Nachr.Rgt. Holland
I'm located in Bergen op Zoom, the Netherlands.
To the best of my knowledge, this map was found in 1945 in the building in Bergen op Zoom where this Abteilung was situated.
I'm not really familiar with the desiginations / names, but according to the information on a Danisch site, the III./ Lg.Nachr.Rgt. Holland was based in Terschelling (North of Holland) and Iv./Lg.Nachr.Rgt. Holland in Bergen op Zoom (South of Holland) Or do I have this wrong?
Thanks

Jan W. -
There is not a lot of data on this Regiment:
http://www.ww2.dk/ground/ln/lghol.html
However, it seems there never was a IV. Abteilung and V. Abteilung was renamed II./Ln.-Rgt. 211 in fall 1941, III. Abteilung was incorporated into Ln.-Abt. beim Wehrmacht-Befehlshaber Niederlande in fall 1942, I. Abteilung was incorporated into Ln.-Abt. 63 during the second half of 1943 and II. Abteilung was incorporated into I./Ln.-Rgt. Reich in fall 1944. So, from fall 1944 to the end of the war Luftgau-Nachr.Rgt. Holland no longer existed.

An interesting Wehrpass that was posted by "Goss" on the War Relics forum, I thought the pages may be of interest here too....
